I tried several of the recipes and got excellent results for the most part. The text also provided interesting background information and a bit of history of the art of breadmaking. I shared the info and bread that I’d made with quite a few people, some I knew well and others I became acquainted with, so it ended up being way more than just an interesting book to read! I may never attempt the tricky appetizers but the basic bread, i could handle.

I am what you could say a coffee drinker. I have been drinking coffee since I was 15 years of age, when I had my mom’s permission to drink it at the time. I am 53 now. We are a family of coffee drinkers. I have been going to Panera’s about a year now. I have come to love their dark roast coffee. I too was a Starbucks fan and drank a lot of their coffee. I then tasted Seattle’s best and preferred drinking their coffee for years. But now I prefer the Panera’s dark roast coffee over both. It has a more full flavor and smooth at the same time. It does not make me feel that I have to much caffeine in me. But some people like the caffeine hyper feeling. Do not get me wrong. I still drink Starbucks coffee, but I do it for the convenience. Everywhere I go there is a Starbucks around. If their was a Panera near by I would choose Panera though. Just my humble opinion.

My kids love these recipes. They can’t tell the difference. They use the cook book like a menu now. Its fun going through the book with the kids and searching for some of your favorite orders. Not only do they love the recipes but they want to learn to cook themselves. I always try to teach them a thing or two while I cook so that they know how to make more than cereal when there out on there own. This is the first cookbook that seems to grab and keep there attention. There are a bunch of great recipies, I recommend KFC chicken and the Red Lobster biscuits.
